Jaysus !! I owned a 2 tone LS solara back in the day, think I was 19? I took it in part ex against my 4 door 1.1 mk3 escort with severe rot And a pub bought Mot from some geezer that had inherited the said steed from his deceased grandmother,
After filling up with £20 of shells finest four star, and a promised blow job from a lovely top heavy blonde girl in Skegness.. The Talbot almost made the 120 mile journey towards Boston lincs from Yorkshire, that was until the back wheel caught fire on the A17 to sleaford..
Turns out the handbrake was binding but I was too stoned to notice until it was too late, and the flames licked the fuel lines. I left the sorry turd in a ball of fire,
Luckily I later thumbed a lift with a guy who was sporting a brand new Peugeot 405GRD and I made it to my destination..
