how important is lsd for the car? i'm thinking of buy open or lsd diff. does is it affect the stability in the high speed and cornering?
I use my car everyday for short and long range use and in normal road asphalt and concret and most of my long range is in the high speed road and sometimes climbing the hill in the rain or in the village grass road.
I like high speed but not the drift driver.
I'm in the process of swapping my engine from m40 to m20 b25.
Lsd question how important is lsd for everyday car

No advantage at all in 'normal' driving, and greatly overstated for 'spirited' driving. Unless you corner hard enough to reduce the weight on the inside rear wheel so much that it loses traction, or drive in mud you won't need one.
A very high proportion of E30 owners who think they have one, actually do not in practice because it is worn out. The two I have on E30s have so little locking action left that they may as well be open diffs.

I'd personnaly not have a 325i without one as they need it imo. the smaller engined cars less so as they have less poke.
