Hi
I saw there was a wire cut up underneath the dashboard (the big cover under the steering wheel) I was wondering why there were cut in it
it went to ground and an end with cable Joints (between there was the cut) so I tried to put them together, and then came a spark ... I found out that my radio did not turn on.
I checked the fuse box. Fuse 12 was blown. I Put a new fuse
in and now it works again
Question:
Can it damage any electrical components when there is a short-Circuit???
Fuse 12 blown - damage the components?

okay, the fuse is the original rating = 7,5diable wrote:Yes if the fuse is rated too high the reason for fuses are for them to blow before any damage occurs like in this case.
as long as it is the original rating, then there is nothing that could be damaged?

Yes, it should be fine, but ensure that any stray wire ends are insulated with electrical tape (or cut off).
