Alas the very handy Cooper group on line shop is closed for maintenance and has been for some time.

Anybody got any ideas on similar sites with current UK prices ?

Hardly instant, but there's always Cotswold.

It is mostly for pricing on new parts that I have and that I am reselling / listing on ebay. I often use my local dealer but I feel a bit guilty ringing them up for prices on things I am unlikely to buy . I must be getting soft in my old age ! :o

bmminiparts.co.uk/PriceFinder.aspx

They're quite good if you can cope with a couple of hours delay.

I won't use them peasants out of principle ! I used to get carried away and regularly spend £100+ with them UNTIL they sold me a ' NEW' E30 M3 battery cover that was anything but and had bits broken / cut off it and numerous holes drilled.

They had enclosed a covering note on the invoice stating that upon packing they had noticed it might not be as described.
I contacted them to be told that they only sell new parts and that
" you must be mistaken" I assured them that I was a lot of things but mistaken was not one of them.

In the drama that is my life , I temporarily misplaced the invoice (long since found) and explained this to them. The ensuing replies basically accused me of trying it on .

The really sad thing is that there was very little money at stake, IIRC, £10 at most, but it was the principle .

An adject lesson in very bad customer service that has cost them my custom and anyone else that I can tell .

Wow, hardly a glowing reference!

I've never used them myself. I just get quotes from them and then buy it from Cotswold for a couple of quid less :)

Puts me in the right ball park as to weather OEM is worth it over 3rd party
