Good news - the T10 2-pot rear "E30" bracket bolts up to the E36 compact rear lugs (radial position to be confirmed though).
Bad news - the Compact rear hub face > lug offset is about 20mm more than the E30! So I need a new rear disc, or half of the handbrake shoes will be outside the back of the drum. Will have a look ASAP.

Thanks for the update Keri. First half had me on hooks, second half not so much!
How big a problem is this? Daft laddy question alert: Can the handbrake shoes be changed for smaller ones?

If I can find the "same disc but deeper" it's fine, if I can't then it's a total pain!
If no disc can be found then it might be possible to make up spacers to move the mount points for all the hanbrake stuff 20mm or so off the backing plate.

Hi Matt, worry not, you're on the "rear" list - would you mind re-sending any emails to me as I lost everything since early last year! I've got all the PMs though.
Tedswagon - As of today my E36 compact rear corner is sitting with a 294 vented disc on it, the shoes are not perfect but good enough as far as I can tell so far. So the Compact rear 2-pot kit is a goer!

Great news. I'm delighted. Let me know what I need to do next. Pm if you don't get a reply soon enough in here.keri-WMS wrote: Tedswagon - As of today my E36 compact rear corner is sitting with a 294 vented disc on it, the shoes are not perfect but good enough as far as I can tell so far. Im guessing they do but just to confirm do the rear kits need to have the backing plates cut to fit the discs in as i have not long fitted a brand new genuine set to my spare trailing arms...

Yes you will need to cut them, the whole of the lip needs removing due to the larger disc
Pics of Fergs below, I had them sandblasted and powdercoated after cutting them

Thing is mine are brand spanking new and I've already fitted the bearings! B****x would be a shame to cut them up when the old ones could have been cut as they were only tatty on the edge lip...

I'm afraid both the E30 and E36 Compact versions will need the lip on the backing plate trimming down..

I'm happy to cut away, sounds like it's not that big a hardship for the gain.
Any idea about timescales for an order? Prices etc. ?
Cheers.

Prices are here ( http://www.e30zone.net/modules.php?name ... c&t=209738 ) with the Compact estimate on page 2.
As we don't normally hold the 2-pot T10 caliper in stock, the lead time on the kits is rather variable. Probably 2 months, +/- 50%.....
In theory we can supply Earls 4 and 6 line kits, I'm waiting for a price list from them though.
