So...my front pads and discs were due for a replacement so had a friend who owns a garage pick me up a set. Had them fitted and drove around on them for a month or so but the things would not stop squeaking....took them back and had them replaced under warranty but tried the more expensive pads thinking the squeaking was being caused by the first set being cheaper....but these things are squeaking just as bad if not worse.

I was wondering if there were any disc/pad sets that anyone would recommend in case I am being provided with some that are known to squeak for a reason....I have an E30 3.16i Lux...for now anyway the squeaking may cause me to drive it off a bridge.

Thanks in advance

I use Euro Car Parts for Pagid stuff. They make OEM grade parts and ECP are really good prices. I've never had an issue with Pagid Shoes/Disks/Pads.

Check your anti squeak springs are all ok too?

Did your fitter copper grease the backs of the pads?

Falamon - Thanks for the suggestion I may try them today, Also I haven't a clue what the spring is or where it would be located so I'll ask them to check for me.

Sanchez - They were fitted with copper grease the first time round and then regreased with Ceretec, the second set were fitted using just the Ceretec.
