What batteries go inside the alarm

So what batteries go insides the alarm?
I have this type alarm you can just see on top of the arch.

No
They exploded so I removed them but that was about 2 years ago.
I can't remember what they look like so anyone know them ?

The issues I had with my alarm and the replacement battery is on this thread:

I got a battery made up which worked but it's a little larger than the original but with the pins bent in it fitted.

The prob I'm having is my key don't work and a wire has appeared from somewhere?
How much you pay for the battery ?

Others said you could use house alarm batteries with similar voltages.

Ok help. Where these 2 wires go to?
The brown n black wire

Ino one end goes on the board but where the other end of the black wire go?
Can it run with no batteries connected just off the car battery? By maybe connecting the 2 wires

So I got time to take some pictures of the inside of the alarm key wiring.

You can see where 2 of the wires go and the 3rd one is the one on the right of the two black wires in front of the battery.

So on your switch going clockwise, you have the 2 black leads already in place then skip one pin then you have the 3rd black lead that goes round in front of the +ve end of the battery then you have the brown wire from the loom then you have a blank pin.

I'm assuming they are but there's 2 wires missing - the brown one from the loom and then another that goes to the board in front of the battery terminal.

Still don't seen to work.
But it has no battery ATM if that will affect it.
