shame to see another coupe shell die, I knew it was going to be a reshell after a big whack like that its just not going to be straight.
at least its just a matter of swapping parts over apart from cage

Ha Ha not straight, just to prove all the doubters wrong, subframe bent, pushed to one side, my arse. It skids perfectly fine. Only being reshelled for safety reasons, doubt it would take another big hit like that.

Well dont reshell it then! Put pannels on it? Seem pointless reshelling a "stright" shell lol but looks far from stright on them photos.....
Just find some skill and it wont need to take another big hit or use 225 or wider rubber ;)

So, what happened to GB69's car to cause such damage - just the broken driveshaft?

the "clipping point" was right close the fence that's smashed up in the pic ,on clipping the fence [hard] with the drivers rear quarter the car went through the fence front first but it was spun round and took out a few sections of beefy fence posts/rails with the arse end

Oh, that would explain it! Shame, looked like a decent car.
Oh well, it would have pleased the crowds and at least it's being re-shelled.

It would appear the inside driveshaft broke mid corner, sending all power to outside wheel. Felt like I was skidding on ice, and just ran 4-6 foot wider than I thought.Speedtouch wrote: So, what happened to GB69's car to cause such damage - just the broken driveshaft?
Rear trailing arm was bent, replaced that and driveshaft and the car skids fine again. But its done a lot of damage and we as a team think its best to be reshelled.

Good to hear that, fella. Are you going to do it in the same livery?

Not sure, might have a think about differnt colours. Would like to put it on the road without getting too much "attention".Speedtouch wrote:Good to hear that, fella. Are you going to do it in the same livery?
