You can get spme cleaning products to clean them but i find them just ok to use. You'll need to protect the alloy when your done as well or ot will look the same in no time. Acf50 is supposed to be very good, not used it yet bit i have some on the way.

Any removable parts will look like new if you vapour blast them.

wire brush on a drill works pretty well, glass beads, soda blasting or vapour like above probably the best

It is very good.

Soda / vapour blasting does make the parts look new but costs. Steel wool and a good degreaser/cleaner works wonders and then apply ACF50, job done.

Discs as a replaceable component are best painted with a good quality hight temp paint. If the paints any good then the discs will be worn before they corrode.

I painted any surface on my dics which doesnt touch anything. Its reallynjist the contact patch between the wheels and hubs i want to use it on but if the brake surface can be coated it might stop them corroding again before the touring goes back on the road.
