Dig the locking ECU out from under the driver's footwell speaker, and check, with a 12V lamp of about 5-10W, that there's 12V at the red/black wire.
If the 12V is there, then open up the locking ECU and 1) inspect it for water damage, 2)check the thermal fuse at the socket end of the PCB. Consists of a resistor with a small spring blade soldered to one end. If the resistor gets too hot the solder melts and the spring unsolders itself.
If you attempt to resolder this, then don't add solder, as a different solder mix with alter the temperature at which the fuse blows. Fires have been caused by ignoring this.

i have a problem with my central locking too, i took out the central locking ECU and checked the resistor it was not loose.. could this still be a problem with the central locking ECU, or is it most likely something else?

Once again a big thanks to Brian.

Resoldered spring which was indeed disconnected.

When i tried the lock it just made noise.

Joined the 2 red and black wires and all is now good.
