I've been meaning to get some pics on here of my motor for a while, so I've finally gotten round to doing it....

(Ignore the pop bottle in the back window... :o: )

Very OEM fresh! It's even got the original Blaupunkt tape deck winkeye

Looking at it like this makes me feel kind of bad that I'm putting a beige leather interior in it tomorrow....

Could be a controversial one, I'll get some pics up once its done so you can see what it looks like with all that beige-ey goodness inside

Interior looks good, but ditch the wheel, suits MG's etc find yourself an M tech wheel to suit! :)

Nice looking example, and I think the beige leather suits it, giving a luxurious air to match the 'Lux' name.

if your going to lower it i'd go for 318is springs all round on a four pot engine ,nice and subtle and to the trained eye a vast improvement .325i SPORT rear springs are the same but you need 318is fronts.

please don't go jom coilovers or g-max - 60mm springzz

I was having serious second thoughts about the colour once I'd taken then black cloths out and sat them next to the beige. They're just so different to look at! Once I'd got the leather ones in and I stood back and looked at it, I thought it looked ace though :) plus they smell mega! Probably one of my favourite parts of having a leather interior is the smell.

I was originally going to keep it exactly as it came out the factory including getting all the mudflaps put back on (the front nearside bracket has corroded and the flap has dropped off) but if it's that much of a rust magnet I'll whip em off the next time I have the back end in the air.

I've decided against the original route now though, the leather interior was silly cheap and in great condition so I'm looking at doing bits and pieces to make it a bit different.

And yes I was going to go down the jom coilovers route.... I'll have to see what happens to be honest. I don't want to upset too many people ;)

Thanks, by the way! I'm immensely proud of it as it's something completely different to all the other financed motors my mates drive.

I do have a mate with a mk1 golf GTI so I think an M42 conversion would possible in the near future just so I can put him in his place every now and then! :D
