Id be tempted to go all reds on the rear too like this
Im considering it tbh lee! He said he'd even do them for me if i wanted but im going to leave it for now..will give me something to mess about with in the future
Imy: His name is abraham..did you sell them on ebay cos i think he said he got them from there but i cant remember..
Jim: Thanx mate!
I thought the frankenstein "its alive" Video was fitting for the occasion lol
Started off the day by properly securing the fan and hooking the wiring up (just to see if its all good Im still planning to run this using a temp switch/relay)
i then got to plumbing it in and Jim you was right about needing the e28/e34 pipes..mine were coming up short as they were made to fit for the M20 rad!
So i done a bit of a temp fix and used a bit of pipe i had lying around untill i can source some pipes..No leaks so im happy for now!
I then started replacing some of the old and knackered rubber
and sorted out the Cowboy wiring!
I then got to sorting out the interior
Changed the emblem on the Gearknob as i had it lying around..Planning to get another Storm motorwerks knob from my old boss as i loved the feeling of it!
I also took your advise Lee n Rav and got myself some of the good stuff
I will be sorting the borbets out with it soon aswell
Then the moment of truth came peeps! Only problem is its blowing from the downpipe as one of the pipes didnt sit 100%..its either that or the centre section sleeving into the downpipes themselves..i will get underneath in the next couple of days and sort it
(vid is taking ages to upload so ill do it tomorrow!)

nice job, i dis the same pipe extension at the top and put 2 clips eigher side for extra security. for the lower pipe i used the e28 lower pipe which fitted perfectly as wasn't expensive from the dealers
looks fab, you've been working well hard on that
bet you can't wait for the first spin
they are a little tricky to bleed but i've never had a problem doing these:
lift the expansion bottle as high as you can when filling. i attach to the bonnet rollers with a bungie and prop the bonnet open with some wood.
take out a sensor blank and fill also at the top of the sensor manifold, slowly with a funnel ( i used a Chinese take away tin pinched at the corner)
drill a 5 to 8 mm hole in the top of the thermostat so you can let the air escape when the stat is open. i did 8mm on the last one and it does take a little longer to get up to temp but bled perfect first time

I just need something higher as its way too low on the front for my liking
here is mine with standard 325i springs, actually the drop is a lot less than 30mm, probably only about 10mm. The good thing about them is they are cheap !!

Not bad
i do want a bit of a drop just not a "sump cracker" type of drop lol
Im planning to go down the coilover/ adjustable shock route one day just not right now.. need a set of front springs so i can drive it without worrying about cracking the sump with every dip in the road lol

I had a go at the council guy who came round when election time came around and his response "its to deter speeding..i was like now they are just sticking to the main road you going to put speed humps there too?!" Then he said my car is too low which i then politely told him to shove his vote where the sun dont shine! Lol
