And when I pulled them out they were all missing the cap that screws onto the end. A few were even bent. After putting the new plugs in, (Just some cheap NGK BPR6ES) they felt as if they were hardly in the spark leads and come off really easy compared to what the old plugs felt like. The car runs fine, if not better for the change but why would someone take the caps off? And why do the leads feel like they are about to fall off?

Do you mean the screw caps on the nipple of the plugs? If so my leads would only fit with the caps removed. I think I checked on here and it was standard practise.

For a start NGK BPR6ES are the preferred plug of choice for M20's. It's been proven that they run better on these than any other plug.Stevieabz wrote:And when I pulled them out they were all missing the cap that screws onto the end. A few were even bent. You need to remove the screw caps from the top. M20 leads are designed to catch the thrad of the plug NOT the cap that screws onto it. Thats if you have'nt damaged the leads now by forcing them onto the caps......

Made the change. The leads click onto the plugs now and are quite hard to pull off. Thanks for the help guys.
