I had my tracking done recently and the report showed that the rear wheels are a bit / \ and the tyres are wearing on the inside. The car has been lowered 30mm on standard shocks but I wouldn't think this is enough to cause the problem. Any other ideas? Thanks.

Dropping an E30 30mm gives almost exactly one degree more negative camber each side.
If this doesn't account for the excess, then the arms/subframe are probably bent.

I can't see how the subframe could have got bent. Is one degree enough to cause inner tyre wear, and if so what's the solution, shorter shocks?

Different shocks will not change anything. You could fit some thicker rear spring pads or double them up to lift the back or if you want to stay down on the street with the kidz but not chew tyres, fit an adjustable rear beam . Once fitted, the rear trailing arm mountings can be adjusted to dial out the excessive camber.

I had a saloon once with a similar issue and one are was bent so that side would wear tyres quicker
Due to the way the suspension works I do find e30s will wear tyres on the inside once you drop it

-30mm is hardly "down on the street with the kidz". An adjustable beam sounds a bit extreme. Fitting thicker/extra spring seats seems a bit pointless, I may as well just get longer springs, yes?

I think they mean stiffer so it doesn't drop any further than 30mm when loaded or carrying passengers

What were the figures for the rear camber?

Err, I'm not really sure what figures correspond to, but what I have:

Left rear + -1 53
- -0 12

Right rear - -1 02
+ -0 29

Does that mean anything to you?

Aren't there any units associated with those figures? -1 53 and -1 02 could be camber in degrees and minutes, in which case -0.12 and -0.29 will be the toe, presumably in degrees expressed this time as whole degrees.
Dropping an inch will also give around -0.15 toe per side, if my calculations are correct.
OE spec. is -1 30 to -2 30 camber and -0.06 to -0.13 for the toe.

The rubber pads are much cheaper , than springs or tyres.........

I run my touring on M-tec springs at the front(-15mm)and stock springs(sourced from GSF)at the rear.

I expect the outer edges on the fronts to wear first, and the inner edges on the rears to wear first.

I buy new tyres for the front's,and move the part-worn front's to the rear.

Simples,even for me! :D
