well the last week or so i have been messing about with positioning the turbos trying to see where they fit, it is tight, very tight so what i going to have to do is relieve the inner wing to allow the exhaust housing to sit back and down futher at the front, im also going to have to alter the ends of the headers as they are still to long, im going to make them with a 90 degree bends straight off and into the turbo, heres roughly where they going to sit
Image
Image

and these are going to be part of the new bit going into the turbos

Image

a few more bits have arrived and also i have got the flywheel back from maggs all lightened
soooo now i can finially get the crank etc all balanced
just a few goodies to show ya

serpentine belts

Oh right, wise investment I guess, if it ensures the engine is properly primed prior to starting it for the first time...

yeah but I'll get some decent stuff after the run in

had some more shiny bits turned up today

power steering reservoir

Image
Image
Image

and new power steering pump with serpentine pulley

Image
Image
Image
Image

also while the engine is out I've been messing around with setting up the trigger wheel for when I go efi on my standalone

I ended up sticking the damper on a lathe and making a recess just for the trigger wheel to locate

Image

not quite sure how I'm gonna attach it yet might drill and tap it and hold it with little bolts or tack weld it on but any who, I tried to use what I had laying about and couldnt help but go to the old engine and thought hmmm that old bracket might fit so I took the old vr sensor of the m20 and slightly modified it to use on the chevy

this is what I've come up with
