Hi, I want to completely strip the ABS from my 320, has anybody done this and do I need any extra standard (non ABS car) bits to put back on or is it a matter of joining the existing brake pipes differently?
Thanks
Brian

For the brakes to be effective you need to keep the pipes as short as physically possible so you may as well fit the non ABS ones back on along with the non ABS master cylinder, three outlets rather than the two used by the ABS pump.
There is NO nucleus.

Thanks fella. Are you saying that all of the brake pipes will have to be swapped for ones from a non ABS car as well as the non ABS master cylinder? Basically a whole new braking system plumbed to the original ABS caliphers?

No just the two to the front wheels and the single to the rear thats about a foot long. it goes from the master cylinder to the joint just below the brake servo, so no crawling under the car
There is NO nucleus.

Why would you want to remove it?

Hi, thanks for the info. Building the car for PBMW championship (ex Milltek) so ABS has to be disabled. May as well strip the weight off completely rather than just unplugging the electrics side.
