sump swap

just swapping the sump over i just want to double check the bracket on the tray i need to cut off right? and keep the tray in not remove it.

bend the bracket back and forth a few times and it will snap off. I still have the windage tray in my S50(US)e30

Yep bend or cut the bracket off with snips, best to not use a grinder with an open sump.

Leave the tray attached

I have the bracket attached under the Main Bearing bolts, i have now removed it completely, will i need to replace the Main bearing bolts i have removed?

At this point I have also been advised to weld the pump sprocket bolt onto the sprocket as these are prone to come loose, is this needed?
