Well i sold my 200sx due to blowing the engine and took in a nice clean 325se 2 door in part exchange. It drives really good bodyworks nice and straight ive ended up removing the complete carpets seats door cards. to replace them with a nice leather set and new carpet since the old one was ripped and not in good condition.Yesterday i went to take it for a quick drive with just the drivers seat bolted in as i got in ive noticed a puddle of water behind the driver seat rear passenger foot well i looked for any leaks etc couldnt see any rips in the seals on the door or sunroof letting water in and today its full of water behind the seat agein ive attached some photo if anyone could suggest what to check or see where abouts it coming from.
Ive attached the photobucket link below kind regards Joe

Try using a curtain wire or bicycle brake cable to shove down the sunroof drain channels to clean them out.

Not talking sunroof leak, Joe, I mean the drains that lead from the sunroof.
Very hard to tell from your pics mate, but looks like corrosion has been going on for a while.
That brown splodge is rust, isn't it?

Yes. You could also run a hose down the channels to help flush out any crud.

The drain holes may be blocked so the water is not dispersing as it should do.

My roof leaks but I have a cabriolet :( :D
Maybe, but you still have drain holes.

I would sit in the car in the next heavy downpour (or get someone to run a hose over it) and observe to see where the water is coming from.

After you cleaned out the drains, did you run any water through them, if so did the "fresh"
water emerge from the sill holes?

Try the curtain wire again until you see the water emerging from the cills.
You need to make sure the wire is going into the drains as far as possible,
not getting stuck and doubling up on itself.
As others have said though, run a hose over the roof/car as well, whilst you are sat
in it.

Is the plastic sheet behind the door card still attached to the door and is it still sealed along the bottom edge?

The rear sunroof drains empty out of the car through a flap in the boot behind the wheel arch. If you pull the trim out of the boot you will see them.

Just realised that this is a parallel thread to one in the tech. help forum, where this thread should be anyway. Any further replies in that thread please!
