So - I've been in London 7 years. Had 4 cars...never had to get an MOT. Strange, I know. Anyone know anywhere in Central London they can recommend? (I'm in N1).

Am thinking Clerkenwell Motors, they look respectable.

Cheers,
Gus

I take mine here:

http://www.barnetmotcentre.co.uk/

..it's one of the local authority testing places and not a private garage, so they don't have an axe to grind. You can take the car for a blast out in the back lanes of Hertfordshire afterwards :D

Wherever you take your car ever tester is working for VOSA when they MOT a car. So it shouldn't make a difference where you got. But there are some hitler types out there.

Working for VOSA when he does the test, but working for his boss at other times, when he's renewing parts on your car that were still perfectly serviceable.

..the old boy here is definitely a dour type, he did compliment the paint on my E12, hardly an enthusiast though
