Value of a drop in M60 V8 conversion

I normally dislike these threads but would like to know what people would pay in the market.

Im toying with the idea of a big upgrade on my car, so whats it worth?

E34 540 M60B40 (circa 130k but no evidance to back up, had a light overhaul when the engine was fitted)

E34 530 5 speed gearbox
BBB Billet flywheel with helix clutch
Propshaft
wiring harness
manifolds (modified items)



Basically all the bits you need ignoring the mounts, i used mounts from chap on here.

In the car running they are worth mega money now up to 8/9k ive being watching them go for

Gearbox aint worth that much being the 5 speed, prob £200-£300. 6 speed is £500-£600 plus.
Around £1,200 package I recon. Much more than that, then its cheaper to buy a 540 manual and do it yourself.

5 speeds are worth as much as 6!! No tunnel mods needed where have you seen a 5 speed go for less than £500? Id buy them all for £200-£300

Phil, I'm genuinely interested, when you say "drop in", apart from Brakes and suspension changes, is there much else needed to get it running ?

Its just the brake servo that needs relocating to have a driving car.
The only reason im thinking of selling is my car is a good starting point, as of the cage etc, im just looking at more power, so s62 conversion.

Have been searching around to try and break down the values on everything....

On a side note, 205s drifting with the v8!?!?!

I run 235s and that still isnt great.... 205s will look great with smoke but no acceleration
