Hi, I'm having a re-spray and looking at ordering new alloys.. I can have the rear arches rolled but it's being sprayed before the wheels will be here.. I would like to run 17inch wheels but wondered what I can get away with size wise?? Happy to roll arches.. I have a 1987 325 cabby... Any advise or links?? Many thanks Justin

It all depends on the ET of the wheels.

It'll run better on 16". You can get away with 9J ET15 on the rear.

Quick question.. It seems most alloys have ET of between 15 and 50 but most are 25 plus or so... Et15 on the rear doesn't seem much and hard to find... Any thoughts? Have seen some 16x7 ET 35 or 17x7 ET 38

Guessing these may both be too big?? I have a mark1 1987 and have been told rear arches are a little bigger than the younger ones.. Just having a re-spray so cant get it too wrong.. I am able to roll arches tho..

Comments much appreciated.. Thanks Justin

With those ET's, the wheel will sit further in the arch (closer to the inner body). You may need a space to push them out towards the outer arch. They'll fit though.
