After someone posted a link for cooper bmw website to search for new part prices I've found a few parts that have been NLA for a while actually show prices on that website.
Have bmw started releasing more parts, for instance
Centre arm rest 63261372763 £220.01

Touring for life
I questioned this before. A lot of parts which my dealer tells me are long discon, are actually showing as available on there. Thought it might be a case of you pay and order, and then get an email a couple of days later saying they can't get it.

BMW's parts system is quite clever,it notes parts that are in demand but not available.So it asess's if it is viable to have a part re-manufactured.
This has happened over the last few years with a number of bits;
Front indicator lens
Front/rear brake back plates
To name but three items!
Snag is,these parts are made in much smaller quantities,and the cost rises...but...that vital bit is available.

Why ?
Me and used sunroof motors don't go... long story!
Although I'm left with no choice now it seems
Just because coopers list a price doesn't mean it's available, I tried ordering some parts from them only to be told they where all nla, the system just list the price they were last time they were available. Unless thing have changed.

You could have bought 25 at Pete's prices. There's a phrase about more money in regards to sense that slips my mind here...pacerpete wrote:Mitchen wrote:Thought I'd bite the bullet and buy a new sunroof motor today.. only jumped from £301 to £624.77 in the space of a month
