I'm thinking of buying a Neon Green Design Cabrio which is for
sale over here €3800, is that a reasonable price??
It looks in good condition, doesn't seem to have any rust in the pics (I've not viewed yet as it's 270 kms away) 162,000 kms, but it's got a rip/hole on the drivers seat bolster (like the one for sale on this site).
I've heard that the cloth to repair the seats is no longer available, and I want to try and keep the car original, rather than change to leather interior, so what have other DE owners done if their seats were damaged??
Any info wud be appreciated thxvm.
Design Edition Cabrio interior info pls

the plain grey bolsters can be effectively repaired with fabric that is a close match. My neon blue seats started like this

and now look like this

The match holds up to all but the closest of inspections. Unfortunately I can't tell you the source of the fabric as I bought the complete sections second hand and they had already been replaced
Your problem will be if any of the patterned material is damaged. There isn't any blue material available new and I would expect the same for the green.
Make sure you check down the sides of all the centre sections on the front seats, mine had rotted away out of sight in the crevices.

I was able to buy neon green backrest sets from BMW some four or five years ago,at that time there were 17 sets left in Munich....
I assume that you are looking at a LHD car?
200 neon green in LHD,just 50 RHD were built.
You stand a better chance of finding s/h neon green in Europe!

Yes, it prob makes more sense to buy LHD over here, although
the pretence is it's for my daughter to learn to drive in, and she's
at uni in UK
