I am in need of advice. My 91 320 Cab had an advisory on last MOT regarding the metal fuel pipe that runs on the left underside of the car. The part does not seem to be on Real OEM website. Is it okay to use braided fuel line suitable for fuel injection? Or is it like brake lines where it is bent to shape?

If it's on the car, it's in the ETK! #11 here: http://2009.bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/ ... container/
It's a matter of debate as to whether this pipe is covered by the MOT test, since it's not actually a fuel pipe - it's just a vent pipe, which, on most E30s, goes absolutely nowhere at the front end.
There's no reason why the pipe can't be completely removed back to where it joins a flexible pipe just behind the left rear wheel arch and left open, which is similar to how it was on pre facelift cars.
