Bobski your car is a pre facelift but like some motorsports BM did fit Mtec 2 kits as an option so u get facelift front end, just rear lights that give it away.

then this happened some silly old codger drove into me!!
    Image

so i thought good excuse to sort the rear quarter out that was slightly different shade of white whilst in the body shop, i found out why it was different after removing the filler in the rear arch. so i had a new one welded in and a full respray.

    good times :)

after selling her last year and buying a fireblade i was off the scene for a while untill i came across this bargain, a 318iS with a suspect over heating problem which turned out to be just an air lock and dodgy fan.
Not being able to afford another sport due to the fireblade the 318iS fitted the bill perfect being alpine white 8) which is immaculate bodywise and interior wise.
its now undergoing 2.5 transplant and a tech 2 kit being fitted.

it has every mot since new and 2 owners both in same family, always garaged and 3 sets of keys, full tool kit etc etc. very pleased with the find :D

If i was you I would spend money restoring the standard 318is and sell it for a sport in the near future.

There are many 325i models/conversions but good 318is models are becoming rare and increasing in value.

I have seen a few good 318is models going for 2-4k lately.

Doesnt make sence to put an 325i engine into a 318is because it will depreciate your car and not be as rare.

I was going to put an 2.5 in mine but was advised not to and am glad i didnt because i have already been offered 2500 for my car.

i sold my old sport for £4.5k that was mint, theres no way i'd get that for this iS no matter how mint, so in my eyes for me its a lot easier and cheaper to convert this as i have most of the stuff to do it anyway for a cheap e30 sport looky likey. plus i,m saving up for an e39 m5 so all moneys going toward that 8)

bit of an update, tech 2 kit bought off the forum and now fitted though the rear bumper had been previously modded for some reason so didnt match the curve of the rear arch which i was never told about  hence now in the body shop being sorted :D
    Image
    Image
    Image

the rear bumper/pod problem it falls short so with bit of looking behind i found it was fibreglassed up. now i stripped off the fibreglass.
    Image

also now need to find an mtech 2 alpine white rear boot spoiler to finish it off.
