Hi all,
I'm pleased to report that another 325 sport is back on the road after been laid up for the last 12 years. I rescued it about a year ago and have been working on and off on it since and pased its MOT on tuesday and taxed yesterday :-) I have done about 200 miles already and apart from a sticky, creaky steering column, i dont think its the rack but could be wrong, which I will investigate over the weekend, it is going really well.

A couple of months ago I had bother with the engine difficult ot start and not running well and refusing to rev after the top of the engine had got soaking while I was fixing leaking and blocked washer pipes and nozzles. I checked everything out that I could and the only thing left it could be was the ECU. I did not have a spare one of these (0261 200 380) but I did have one for the 320i (0261 200 172) In desperation / curiosity i fitted this and it starts , revs and pulls as it should... with no apparent problems
Does anyone out there know of any reason why I should get the right one and change it or is there no real difference in these 2 ECU's. I hope this will not cause any unseen damage or future problems with the engine management. Any comments on this appreciated
Cheers Jim
