After my palaver last week with a dead CPS, I ordered two; a fairly cheap new one (a third of the price of BMW's) and a decent used one. Both M20.
Odd thing is, the new one wouldn't fit. The angle the cabl came out of the sensor went straight into the aircon belt. I had to use some molegrips to twist the sensor and wire 90 degrees inside the metal "hat" to make it resemble the original one.
Anyone else experienced this? Are there some brands to stay away from because of poor design/fitment? (this one was MaxGear). Is this one likely to die in a matter of weeks due to my "adjustments"?
