My car is not lowered or anything........I have a great deal for 4 of these tyres.

They'd probably fit, but the overall diameter would be bigger than you'd really want - it'd mess up your gearing (& possibly foul on something)...
What are you running at the moment?

Hello Ziggy...at the moment, I am running a winter-tyre setup.
So the diameter would be to big....would I need something like 205/50
then? Smaller?
My car is not lowered or modified...just standard.

Standard's 205/55/15... 205/50/16 would be very close
I'd probably go for 205/45/16 though - that's closer to 205/50/15, which some people (including me!) prefer to 55s.
I'm guessing here, but you might be able to get a 215 on a 7.5 inch rim? Not sure what other people with the Hartges run... I'm sure someone'll be along soon!

total diameters for ya;
205 * 40 * 16 = 442mm
205 * 45 * 16 = 452mm
205 * 50 * 16 = 462mm
205 * 55 * 16 = 472mm
all of these are smaller than that of;
205 * 45 * 17 = 474mm (which fits fine under an e30)
oh and a 205 x 50 x 15 = 440mm
Figures are rough but you get the point.
215 profile you can get on a 7.5" rim without any problems as the tyre is roughly 9" wide.

the correct tyre is 205/50/16 this will bring u to within 0.3% of matching the overall rolling radius of a 15bbs with a 205/55/15.
So no speedo,gearing issues
it would look silly with a 55 profile no matter how cheap!
plus the car will sit higher, it might look like a land rover!
