Hmm Interesting...leeparkes wrote:http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/BMW_5 ... 84a&000261
This second rad looks like an E34 aircon rad, if it is it wont fit as its to wide for the chassis rails.
According to e30.de an E36 rad can be used and just had a quick look on mine and im guessing it could![]()

i think you also might need the e28 bottom rad pipe if you go for the e28 rad. I had to get one but my shell was a 4 pot so was lacking in donor parts.

Just measured my exhaust pipes and they are 46mm so all good to go once the manifolds come!

Guess what arrived today

But as usual it was pi$$ing down round my way so i got to rubbing them down and spraying them for now..

I ordered the E28 535i radiator today
while im waiting for that to come I remembered I had this fan which i replaced due to the resistor pack failing.. Cut the wires and checked to see if the fan itself works and it does perfectly!

Going to try and find a way to mount this as its bmw
and can be trusted
Pics to follow with how i get on!
Also here is the Gear selector and the number..going to check realoem now and see where this came from!
(also bought the rubber/metal mounting as the old one was shot!

thats about it for now! As soon as the weather clears this will resume!

Update time peeps!
Got alot done today due to the weather behaving itself!
As always ill let the pics do the talking
First started off my day by installing the Power steering pump (which was in the boot when i bought the car
)

^Just need the bolts for the lower bracket for that^
Then i got onto fitting the inlet manifold / oil filter housing / thermostat housing / tidied up the wiring and this is where i am at this moment in time

Nearly there peeps! Still a few things left to do and parts to source but the finishing line is in sight ! !

You might have trouble fitting the air filter/box with the coil fixed there.
attach it the the strut tower near the clutch res.

Yea insurance for the cabby when it still had the M20 in there was £170 a year
ahh what age does to insurance quotes!
so im hoping the conversion shouldnt be toooo much more
(sounds like deja vu doesnt it?
)
Good speaking to you today Ravman! feels like we havent spoken in years! (actually we havent have we lol
)
Cheers Lee! I will prob move it next time im on the beast!
Didnt really do too much today the Bipolar weather wasnt having it.. kept teasing me with the sun then when id start to do something it would start raining
This is what i did get up to :
Fitted the gear linkage and retaining bush/ slave cylinder

got to cleaning up the engine bay a bit more / trying to tidy up the wiring the best i could do without any of the original clips/ retainers but then it started raining so quickly covered her up and cut down and sprayed my exhaust instead

Also Rav this is the undershield i was talking about

like i said its quite heavy..wondering wether to leave it off or not, it does do a good job of keeping the underside clean though:

Sorry for the lack of updates peeps!
I was involved in a 4 car pile up where the person infront of me whacked on their brakes for no reason so i did the same STOPPING just before them...
too bad BOTH cars behind me didnt do the same!
Both smashed into me hitting me into the car infront thus F**king up my back and neck!
so YET AGAIN more delays to frankenstein..but hey at least im still here! Couldve been alot worse!!
As it is my style heres the pics!
My car's damage:

The Astra which hit me (after the focus) had its bumper still wedged into my o/s/r arch!

This was the car directly behind me which knocked me to the left and into the one in front

Which this idiot came straight down the middle smashing into the same side!

So yea when my backs well enough ill be finishing the beast! Hoping for june now
