Boot doesnt lock

Is there a common fault with the boot lid not locking with the central locking?

Anywhere I should look first?

check the small connecting rod in lock as mine keeps coming off plastic holding clip

There's no known common fault. First thing to do is remove the rear trim panel inside the boot and see if the lock motor moves or not when the locking is operated.

boot doesn't lock with the key either

its a coupe by the way

I'll be stripping it back this weekend to have a look, but thought I'd get a check list of what to look for first
