Evening All,

I have this stainless exhaust sat in my shed, where it's been for a while. I bought it off ebay some time ago, but I went down a full custom SS system from a local supplier instead. So, I want to sell it, but I'm not sure what it would fit, i.e. 2-piece or 3-piece, for 2-door, 4-door, Tourer, Cab???

Can anyone help me identify what car it's suitable for so I don't mislead anyone who wants to buy it??

Also, what do you reckon it's worth??

Ta

Exhausts fit all body styles, so it doesn't matter whether it fits a Saloon, TourING or cab. So that's not something you have to worry about when advertising.

It's two parts of a 3-piece system though, and you're missing the downpipes from the manifold.

It's twin pipes all the way so should be facelift 320i and 325i m20's and no doubt could be nice for a m5* swap. Looks lovely, how much you looking for it?

No idea what it is to be honest. Come to think of it, I do have down-pipes for it as well, but I bought it with a six-branch that I'm going to fit to my car and I don't know if i'll need the downpipes or not. My existing custom-made exhaust runs up to the original manifold, so I'm guessing I probably won't need the down-pipes. Not sure.

No idea what it's worth to be honest. My custom system cost me just over £500.

Would be worth more as a full system, will go well on ebay if you can deal with the possible hassle.

Like this you mean?? I've been able to confirm from looking up the part numbers that this is a complete Mongoose system.

Looking at the exhaust on my car, the existing downpipes from the standard manifold go down to the new SS exhaust, so with this 6-branch fitted, I can't see I'll need the down-pipes from the spare set up pictured above.

I can't see how this system would couple up to a standard manny?

You will need the X pipe for you 6 branch. I'm sure I've heard all 6 branch manifolds need them.

I'm glad you mentioned this - thanks!

Can anyone confirm this?? What is the logic behind a 6-branch requiring a x-pipe when a standard manifold doesn't?

First silencer box is the X pipe on a standard system.

Thanks Brian - and for pointing me at that other thread on the x-pipe.

I think I'm going to sell the complete system including the 6-branch as I can't afford to have it fitted to my existing system, especially now I found out what the noises are from my back end (see other post).
