Problem is theres not many for sale in my area that are worth bothering with, saw a 320i on a g plate up for Ԛ£805.... it needs loads of bodywork ie 2 sills and 3 arches (both rears and drivers front wing) + assorted other rust patches as its been stood 3 years 8O its only saving grace was that bar the usual oil leak on its M20 lump the engine and box were sweet

The interior was all BROWN!! and when he asked me what my offer would be and i said Ԛ£400 i thought he was gonna blow his own fuse
with it being stood 3 years it had no tax or test and i thought my offer was rather generous..... then he started ripping my rocco till i reminded him it was 3 years younger with a fresh mot and tax.

should i start considering the 318's and forget the sound of a 6 pot at full chat? or keep searching and eaven start considering the 325

i mean i dont want to go down in cc or performance from the 1.8 rocco do i winkeye

318iS is faster than a 320 though.

Who cares too much about power anyway? Boy racers, that's who :P The real fun is to be had in the corners.

By the same token it makes me chuckle when people say 'My car has loads more crip on XXX tyres or with YYY suspension'. It's far more fun to run out of grip!

haha the IS is a rare beast i havent seen 1 advertised round south yorkshire, i dont care about the outright power for day to day but it is nice to have some for the weekend 'play time' and somtimes that pesky saxo/corsa/punto needs to be made to vanish in the mirror. You know the ones that keep dropping back then trying to mate with your rear bumper repeatedly.
mind you fitting a tow bar to the rocco has reduced that as they don't like the idea of that punching a hole through thier fibreglass errrrrrr thing (cant bring myself to call it a bumper)

off my own topic but i am a performance man, a subtle kit is ok but above that i really can't see the point in mods that don't improve the performance or handling of a car

Or buy mine! you spend Ԛ£800 on a car and you'll easily spend Ԛ£600 making it as nice as mine winkeye
