Well small update

decided to sell the S38B38 after complete rebuild http://alpina.123.is/photoalbums/251991/

i had bought a 750 with a fellow and me and my buddy split the car,, i got the V12 M70B50 drivetrain etc ,, he parted the car

I wanted the engine to be as good as possible,, i am a fan of V12 ,, Bmw and thats it

so i took the engine apart aaaaaaaand, let the show begin...


new waterpump,,+ 2 set of pulleys +wheel
all gaskets,,VICTOR REINZ or OEM..

All bolts/nuts new.. except crank rod+ camshaft



not like brandnew,,,,,,,,,


no way back.......


new bearings,, main + conrod




just an useless info Conrod bearings are ONLY by BMW and cost a fortune

Sv.H-Motorsport solution,, made by Max Lumens and imported by FATANDRE idea maker
this is a genius solution if/possible replacement for oem intake gaskets,, you use the oem,, but these are 3mm thick precise cut out of silicone and goes to head and under intake manifold((oem cost the same as a week holiday on a beach))

exhaust manifolds were sandblasted and the heat shields........ CHROME got lost in Vanity




Most parts were sandblasted and powdercoated,,


lower oilpan and valvecover are black ,,all other parts shadow-silver-chrome ???

The engine will be running on MegaSquirt standalone

The G-560 is an oem gearbox,,,

so i will either get the oem flywheel and clutc or use V8 solution

N.B G280 is aprox 5cm ((2")) longer vs G260/6 ((M30B35))


N.B.,, G280 is on mounts and oem g280 bracket

SACHS,,, V12,,,,,,,,,, Ãaber Ãaber every BMW clutch i have seen so far


Sachs x 2 most likely the 2 titans in each class of its own
B10 BT clutch is the stiffest 240mm i have tried so far vs other 240mm but is made for DualMass flywheel ((Sachs 765 press is also heavy strong and stiff but made for Singlemass))
and then Sachs 280mm V12 clutch made for BMW,,,,,,, pretty much not the same size
the 240mm clutch bearing is almost a joke compared to the V12 280mm :














similair as G420









the shifting arm and selector rod may have to be shortened more or put more lenght in,, i dont know,, the gearbox came out of an UK E30 V12 conversion that was not finished

oilfilter housing,, radiator,, fuel lines and some minor things


after feew weeks it should be ready for loom installation and mapping etc etc

Well small update,,,



2 x 6 cyl coilpack



8.5mm MSD



I have to get a smaller pulley wheel ,, or a bearing



and put another pulley/wheel here were the 8mm bolt is,, to get as much touch/grip on the crankwheel

i had the water pulley remade so i can run 1 belt instead of 2

lots of oil lines.....

a) 1 ,,main feed from pump to Accumulator.. pressure
b) 1 from accumulator to mastercylinder feed,, pressure
c) 1 from accumulator to steering box,, feed,, pressure
d) 1 from accumulator to oil carrier,, reverse
e) 1 from mastercylinder to oil carrier .. reverse
f) 1 from oil carrier to pump,, reverse,, big one
g) 1 from oil carrier to steering box,, reverse


got it ???????

all lines are high pressure and covered with stainless steel sleeve



the oil lubrication carrier,, i had to make new lines from flex steel hose,,
