Need to get hold of some drop links - read the wiki and it says there is an improvement to be found in the form of Mondeo rear drop links!!! Wiki states Lemforder part number is LMI 2581102 - so I googled it, ebayed it, looked on euros - and all I can find is one on amazon!!!
£22.67 each - does that sound about right???
Problem is, I really need these for tuesday and I doubt they'll get here in time!!!
Anyone know anywhere else I can get them???
I suppose I could walk into a ford dealers and order a pair - but I'm assuming there will be a premium price on them there!!!

ECP/CP4L is where I've bought them from. Enter car as 2000 2.0 Mondeo estate.

Thanks guys- I'll bear them in mind... might have to pop down to euros as a last resort, but I avoid these two like the plague!!! So rarely been given the right part... and as this isn't an actual E30 part I'd have no idea it was wrong until it's too late!!!
I assume the lemforder part number should be stamped on it somewhere??? The part number on their website doesn't match up!!!

Is there anything like this but for the rear, instead of the standard droplinks?

£20 odd a side seems right. Personally I rarely have a problem with parts from ECP/CP4L. Just always order online rather than at the counter. Has been fail safe so far..

I got mine delivered from Euro car parts and they came the next day.
I can confirm that turn in IS sharper and they have a difference on the front end.
However you won't notice it if everything else is worn out :p

Tried a few places today....
One local (not Croydon) parts shop couldn't help me!!!
Ford dealer - not interested, bit rude, wanted a reg no for a Mondeo Estate (luckily my business partner has one, unluckily I got the reg wrong!!!) - In the end he decided they could be ordered for £22 each - could only give a ford part no of 1130452 (which looked right when I just googled it!!!).
ECP - rude staff in there - eventually said he could order them in for £18 each - and he couldn't give me a part no!!! I just found part no 632590095 on their website (same as the CP4L ones in the link above, obviously!!!).
So if I order a pair of these up from somewhere like ECP/CP4L (gulp!), could I expect the Lemforder part no to be stamped on it somewhere when they arrive???

yes, it is on the box.
the part number you ordered should be:
Qty Parts Description Vehicle Reg Price

From the wiki...
A surprising discovery was made regarding the front drop links that hold your Anti-Roll Bar; you can replace them with the rear drop links from a 2000-2007 Ford Mondeo Estate. These units are rose-jointed, giving a firmer, stronger hold over your anti-roll bar, so they should last a while. They're also available from Lemforder who, being an OEM manufacturer for BMW, guarantee that you're not polluting your E30 with Ford scrap. Lemforder part number is LMI 2581102
This upgrade is pretty much mandatory as part of a front suspension rebuild.

Performance wise they're not said to give the handling anything more than the originals. Just a better design, making it a stronger unit. They fit perfect.FMH wrote:miniblob wrote:From the wiki...

I have found that turn in is a bit more stable and direct after changing them.
Slightly less body roll when cornering under deceleration.
...but that might be because my old ones were a bit tired.

Just to let you know... I did order these and I did get the correct part!!! They even had the lemforder part no. on the box - although they did stick an ECP over it!!!
That's one niggle sorted, but unfortunately it didn't cure my main problem!!!

Yep, Ecp and the like like to hide original numbers and use their own system.
Not doubt they have their reasons at their end, but also makes it harder to compare prices with other suppliers. Coincidence?
