hi guys, need a little help, ive tried the search and wiki pages with no luck.

I am after a part number for the rubber boot that fits to the fuel filler neck and to the car body inside the fuel filler flap.

I either need a part number to order one or if anybody has a good one for sale? please PM me or drop a txt to 07791468180

thank you.

Hey man,
Take a look on realoem.com. If you put in the last seven digits of your VIN no. then you can get part numbers for every part of your car.
Also may be worth asking Cotswold bmw (traders section of forum) on here for a quote, its a main dealer but they may be able to get a little discount for you.

Found it, part number is 51711884358 for anybody interested, my car is a 87 cabby, so that part corresponds to that car, not sure if its different for other styles / years

These seem to be made of an inferior grade of synthetic rubber to ever other bit of rubber on an E30. It's unusual to find something like the convoluted ducts between the door pillars and the doors in anything other than perfect condition, but I've never removed one of these that I'd describe as 'mint' yet.

yeah, I recently replaced mine as it was in a right state. Spilt petrol must have an effect on the rubber.

Can you give a bit more detail?

Did you order it from a dealer? Did they charge you for five?

Thanks
Ben
