Convertible roof not working

Hi guys I've got a 330ci Sport Convertible and I've gone to retract the roof but its not playing ball! It works until the boot part is fully up then it just won't go any further. Any ideas what it could be or is it just a case of resynchronising it? It was working fine a couple of days ago a friend has suggested disconnecting the battery for a few minutes? I've just had an inspection 2 and a new stereo fitted as well could that have anything to do with it? I'm picking at straws here!

If the inspection 2 service was done properly the roll over bars would have activated so the roof would have been opened to do this.ask whoever did the service if they opened the roof.
Also when you next open the roof when it gets to the point where it stops push up on the front of the roof while pressing the button, there are hall sensors in the roof that may need adjusting.
