Fitting Sport tailgate spoiler to a touring

My tailgate spoiler should hopefully be painted for Friday, I haven't looked how it is fitted yet, is it simply glued on or are there mechanical fixings?

What sort of adhesive should I be using for this? Any pearls of wisdom appreciated!

When new there would have been clips to hold it in place. These have undoubtedly broken by now so your best bet is some kind of glue/sealant.
