Not free as such.............but i've got the cruise working and the double sunroofs! Just the Air con to sort on the "options" and the SLS is fucked and a rusty sill, cracked windscreen plus some other minor bits before MOT time. Its a fucking heap but i like it and i don't know why. My missus had the right ache saturday when it turned up. I hadn't told her it was coming back, always worth a giggle! Shes ok now

comfy with a big boot?! :hammer: Good spec for an e34

Its been under a tree for 18months :D Everyone hates it, shes a beauty

All tips on SLS delete welcome, i've fucked the PAS pump already when i blanked the pump off. Apparently its not the way forward on this. The normal shocks and springs are in the boot ready to fit in replacement.

Can i rip the lot out? I'm getting a non SLS PAS pump to help matters

I like the the idea of a 4WD E34 touring. It will go very well with the b3 3.2 engine in there.

I would rather say "it will go a lot better with a 3.2"
Heavy bus with a load of 4wd power soak, its never going to be fast with a measly 3200 cc's :D

TBH id rather repair the SLS than bin it, very useful and the car rides much better than without

Windscreen is easy, just insure it adequately :)

I'd keep SLS as well if its not too cost prohibitive. Its very cool feature.

SLS is nice, when working but as the pump is goosed and probably the spheres, pipe work and both rear shocks as well. You have no option but to put a pair of standard E34 rear shocks on it. The SLS springs will be too soft so try and get some standard springs (518/520 touring ideally) and or maybe use some thicker spring pads which I am sure are listed on REALOEM.

I've got some 540i saloon shocks with some life in them to go on along with some non SLS springs but i can't remember what they are off. It will get me going.

I remember last time i had it the passenger rear shock had a slight leak, the spheres must be gone because it rides rock hard, the pipework is like off the titanic so a torch would be needed to get it all moving. Seems like too much aggro on a sub £1000 car. Delete it and i'll remove it all from the car from the rear and loop it up the front of the car is the consensus. I think the bombs can be bought for £100 each, but the SLS shocks are at least £300 each - m tech ones are much cheaper on realoem?!

I'm told it's a good un, time will tell. There appears to have been a flurry of them the last few weeks.

Sellers have given up waiting for snow so are frantically dumping before the turdz revert to being valued by the KG +catz + battery+ intake , which they are for eight months of the year :)

So much hating, what's not to like about the last of the E34s in 4wd touring format running on gas....

I've removed the entire SLS system i think bar one pipe, i've blanked off

Image

this pipe runs from the diff to the hydro unit in the engine bay i've taken out. I'm guessing it will be ok?

Image
Image

before and after kind of thing

Image

I've fitted a 2wd PAS pump after killing the original

theres alot easier ways to delete SLS but nothing worked on it and i'd of had to replaced the whole system nearly on the rear end bar the copper pipes it had.

Image

I started it up to check the PAS system for leaks and get the fluid level correct and now i've got this traction light on. This car doesn't have traction?! Its up on 4 axle stands but it was in neutral. I'm thinking take the bulb out! The ABS light came on and off as it should as normal or will i have a drama when i get the wheels back on and drive it?! I hope its not linked to the SLS or 4wd system in a way

It needs fuel and brake lines next really
