Hi guys having trouble with my h reg 318i 2 door. Runs fine while cold. Heats up to normal temp then chokes and coughs at 2 thousand revs. Have changed the coolant sensor, the afm is good, new thermostate, changed the throttle body and still the same problem. What's next to check guys? Thanks Chris

Cleaned out the ICV of gunk? Replaced the AFM rubber boot tubing in case of splits or hairline cracks? Once you've ticked all the boxes it's worth resetting the ECU so the system resets itself...
Do you mean you've changed the blue chip sensor?

Check all the vacuum pipes. I had a problem with the fuel pressure regulator vacuum pipe.

FPR pipe only makes a minor difference to the engine running. Nothing as extreme as what's described here.
Check the distributor cap and rotor. Problems with these can make the M40 bog down when accelerating.
