Hi all ive got a 320i in red 2 door coupe its done 168,000 miles and has a fair amount of service history with 2 bmw keys. the interior is standard cloth and the seats are torn. Mechanically the car is sound the engine, exhaust, diff and gearbox are solid.

on the exterior its faded red in colour :? and in in desperate need of a polish, it has a light scrape down the passenger side and will perhaps need 2 new rear wheel arches or repair on the rear arched to prevent further corrosion. The scuttle is mint apart from slight corrosion on the vents where the wipers go on. There corrosion to the rear valance on the driver side rear and the rear batter tray which has gone through.

With a hindsight this will come with a fresh mot, the car has never let me down etc but requires a lot of body work nothing too serious for a body expert just was wondering before I put this car to market the rough price guide I should put It up for???

I wouldn't pay anymore than £800 from what you're saying.

Here's the wiki guide to get you started...

But as above, pics of the car and problem areas will help people to give you a value.

high miles, 320i, 2 door with rotten arches and scuttle panel, ripped cloth comfort interior and bum rot. I'd give you £200 for it, and that's only because the sump fits a 325i and I may get £150 for it as scrap value.

To be fair its worth more , its worth about 3 grand in parts alone at the prices some of the sellers on here/eBay are trying to charge latley for silly bits

It's worth nowhere near a grand in parts, let alone 3, unless it's got refurbed staggered Alpina alloys on it.

The engine and drivetrain you wont be able to give away. The shell is scrap. The interior is damaged and worthless, but might yield 100 quid for the dashboard. The suspension and brakes are the lesser 45mm version, probably with rear drums. All in all, it would have to have a 13-button OBC, working headlight washers and aircon to give it any value whatsoever.

If someone offers you 750 quid for it, bite their arm off.

sorry, I forgot about the possibility of an uncracked dash, my valuation has just risen to £250. If you put £250 in the glovebox, I'll go as far as a monkey.

SOLD !!

In the real world, with a fresh MOT it MIGHT make £500 . Depending what it needs for a MOT, you might be better off selling without ,as it should still make £300+

Scrap steel is about 125 quid a ton these days plus a few morsels (if any) you might get a couple of hundred quid by breaking it.

Get some pics up.!

The problem is, very few people will put any time and effort into a 320 and it isnt worth it.

With an MOT 4 - 500.
