Immobilizer problem

It's one that you put a fob thing into a slot next to the ignition key slot and hold for a couple of seconds, till the led stops flashing, only then can you start the car. Ok, till the car keeps dying randomly for no reason... when this happens in traffic, you have to remove the key, insert the immolizer fob, wait, reinsert key and only then drive off... trouble is, once when this happened, the steering lock came on 8O ... anyone had this? how annoying do you find these immobilizers... can they be easily by-passed?

i had one of thos crap imobilizers in my old sport mine didnt work any more just beeped every 2 secoundsi wanted to kill it and my car didnt start i was lucky my mates is a electricion and was sopossed to come down the same day we where standing in the dark with a crapy torch my phone gave of more light than the torch light rain cold weather trying to sus the crap imobilizer for 4 hours finaly removed the imobilizer brain from behind the clocks and sorted the wiring out so it would feed petrol to the engine sorting the wiring is a big prob if u dont take it to the people with the blue prints that said what wire is what take it out its crap take it out where it was put in.i bought mine with it already in i didnt buy it
