I removed my undertray a while ago and am about to put it back but have managed to lose the fixing bolts/screws.

I've tried looking on bmwfans but can't find it anywhere, can anyone advise on the part numbers of the fixings required or point me in the direction of the page that shows the underway on bmwfans?

Cheers

It's just four of the plastic nuts with 10mm hex heads, of which there are dozens around the rest of the car, plus four hex. headed self tappers and spire clips, similar to those the wings on etc.
These are best replaced with stainless steel equivalents.

Brian, do you have a source of stainless steel spire clips? I've tried googling with no luck.

Thanks

No, never found a s/s spire clip. Hex. headed s/s self tappers are as rare as hen's teeth as well, but do exist. My local fasteners stockist had a few boxes of them, that they said was a cancelled order. I've bought and used all of these up over the years, but am running low again, and they say they don't have any more.

After an hour or so googling I found a couple of places that make them. But nobody selling them.

I'll have to contact the manufacturers.

If I find anything I'll post back.

So it's this type of thing (8x16) in stainless that we're after?

I've found these on ebay:

Stainless 8x13

Stainless 8x19

Would either of these do (with a suitable stainless washer)?

Ones I have used for years are 8 x 5/8" = 16mm. 13mm will be a little on the short side, so if it's a choice of the two, I'd go for the 19mm ones.
I also keep 10 x 3/4" (22mm), which I use for the brackets that locate the ends of the bumpers and to retain the headlamps.
Thanks for finding these! I shall be ordering right now.

These are 10mm AF versions: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290997838737? ... 1497.l2649

Not cheap.
