Hello guys,

Been a while since i have posted on here!

I need help from the BMW gods or members of the forum

Basically, I did the conversion on my e30..

So i have:

E36 struts with e30 top mounts

E36 hub / discs / calipers.

i am using standard 15" e36 wheels and 205/60/15 tyres.

I have eccentric lollipop bushes.

Now i have explained all of that my problem is my drivers side wheel is closer to the car (bulk head) so when i go for full lock the tyre touches the bulk head and acts like a brake and it takes a nose dive and stops the car.

I don't understand what the problem is, All parts are new. My passenger side is perfectly fine and in the right position and doesn't touch at all.

Any help / suggestions / ways to fix it would be brilliant :)

Is your steering rack centralised?

Is there equal amounts of thread poking out from both track rod ends?

The probem will be one, or both, of the following:

1) You”˜ve used standard E30 or E36 lower arms
2) You”˜ve used standard E36 hub unit

The E36 conversion will only position the wheel correctly if you use E36 M3 Evo (post ”˜96) lower arms and kingpins with the eccentric lollipop bushes (which you already have). You must”˜ve done one or both of these as E36 M3 brakes won”˜t fit under 15" wheels and normal E36 brakes won”˜t fit E36 M3 Evo kingpins.

It may be as Daimlerman has said that your tie rods are poorly tracked, making one side worse than the other - or have you fitted the eccentric lollipop bushes the correct way round? However you will need to move to the E36 M3 Evo arms, kingpins (and therefore brakes) which will also necessitate a move to minimum 16" wheel (for which hubcentric spacers will be required) in order to get geometry anywhere close to what an E30 should be.
