hi all,

just mopping up some work that had been on the backburner....i need your yoda-like alpina knowledge....

Image

here are 2 examples for the same model c2 2.7 and b6 2.8 but the tyre sizes are different and pressure as well.

the part number for the first one ends 004 which is one a customer wanted me to make for him. i already have the 022 one and got his pic from ?kieran or ?si's touring so know it to be original.

were the tyres on a prefacelift recommended to be smaller?

i find it a bit odd as the b6 2.8 was around for such a short time......anyone have any ideas?

Very early Alpina E30's like the C1 2.3 and B6 2.8 used a 195/50/16 before it was replaced with a 205/50/16.

The B6 2.8 was replaced by the C2 2.7 in 1985.

Yep.

All the early cars ran 16x7 until the C2 2.7 replaced the B6 2.8 in '85 when the 16x8 for the rear came out.

Note in the second pic, the 195/50/16 tyre was still retained as a winter tyre.
