Engine idle speed is NOT adjustable, except by re writing the relevant software. The short answer to your question is to find the fault that is causing the idle problem.
Start by checking out the adjustment and operation of the throttle position switch.
Is yours an auto with the three position rotary switch on the handbrake console?

Did it do this with the original ECU, and which ECU have you fitted - an 0 261 200 073?

no. with the original ecu, the rpm did not go up to 1200 to 1300 when idling. but engine was not smooth n little miss. two months ago when i tried to start the veh n did not start. check everyting seen in good order. fitted a ecu from my fren e30 it start. so i order a used ecu- 0 261 200 073. cause my original ecu is this number. then now the car is running good, only is the engine speed is little high when idling.
