I'd chill a bit turbo two tone.
Simon.

Would you not feel the need to support your son/daughter if you have one when a comment like Pete made banter or not is written.
I always thought BMW people were a sensible lot.

Also the car is about being different from thee crowd at 19 most drive Corsa,s or Saxo,s. :?

its all in jest 8)

if thats the worse comment he ever gets id be chuffed..

only yesterday i was walking down the street, to be greeted by the friendly tone of a local tramp who id unfortunately caught his eye, this was his initial comment "what the f&*k are you looking at soppy b0ll0cks" not nice but i didnt immediately phone my dad to tell him off.

its an internet forum, your sons car looks nice enough but in life it would do him well to realise he isnt goign to get showered with praise at every turn :)

Oh dear some skin thickening is going to be needed by some here if they wish to hang around! Getting all lairy over a compliment, imagine the response when a flaming happens 8O

Jeez, read a few posts and threads to get the feel of the place before wading in all fully armoured up- some learning to do!

Stick around though :)

And Mr.Turbo, if you are his Dad, fair play for being supportive and keen to share interests but f**k me you let your son roll on stupid stretch? Bad form on you

Tony, part of the appeal of this site is the banter. As 'newbies' you and your son will not be au fait with some of the banter and humour we use, that is to be expected. Just like we do not get why dubscum need to remove their suspension and wear their pants around their knees, man :? :(

There is an old saying that a clean car = a dirty mind. As a result, we have naturally concluded that a REALLY clean car must belong to a paedo type, hence to spend hours detailing your car is now known as 'paedoing your turd' (Turd= car :) ) So now you can see that nothing nasty was said or implied by my post. You assumed , wrongly that 'paedo' is bad whereas in the context of cleaning a car it is good :D

Top marks to your son for his enthusiasm and paedo skillz :)
Some of his mods are not to my taste but hey, who cares, its his car, not mine !
Welcome to the zone, enjoy the site and your turd :D

RE Trevor, he is a REALLY OLD bloke with an epically paedoed (don't mention the battery) 325 convertible that he often minces around in when not snowfoaming his mudflaps :)
In his 30s, back in the seventies, he done a ground up restoration on a Triumph Herald, before such things were considered acceptable or decent. A true paedo and an inspiration to all of us aspiring fiddlers :D

Hi Mate,

Just had a skim through your pics and I must say the car looks good. Be mindful that this is your car and you are an individual likes us all here not everyone will like and or appreciate what you have done however the main thing is that you enjoy it and like it after all it is your car.

Oh and also one thing is for sure and I speak for everyone here is that we all love our little turds (bmw e30's) in some way or another.

enjoy it here follow through with the banter and do nto take anything to heart.

Looks good so far pal just a tad to wide and low for me though. Living in London with its bad roads.

Personally I think it looks great, super clean and a credit it to you young man. So what if its not everyone taste on here, its clean AND its an E30. He could be into hotted up Corsa's after all. My own lads 19 and he has a lowered E30 Touring and a couple of Mk1 Escorts, am I proud of his car choices, you bet I am.

So, I've seen my dads popped up in here...awkward haha! Reading through I can understand where he's coming from although all has been resolved now by the looks of things haha! Thanks to everyone who has commented, and like what has been said it's all about what you like, atleast, like what's been said, I'm not running silly body kits, neons an all the rest, I keep my car clean and tidy, but I do like my lowering, and no my tyres are not illegal but it is a grey area, most don't approve but again it's something I like, anyway that's enough of that, not done much to the car recently other than clutch slave which had been failed for some time so it's nice to have clutch pressure, next up I'm searching for a splitter, either a 318iS one which is the preferred one being a BMW part but also I'm told a Volvo one will fit when it's attached upside down and also I'm sure I've seen the likes of a MK3 Golf VR6 one retro fitted too, if anyone's any info on any of these it'd be much appreciated :)
