hi i have a bmw e30 325i 1986 auto. Ever since i've had the car i get very low mpg. At the moment i fill the tank £55 and i only get about 150 miles. i have changed the external fuel pump, also i think the internal pump has been changed, fuel filter changed
i thinking it could be the lambda sensor?
does any one have any ideas what it could be ?
thanks

I don't know what the other zoners think but it sounds about right for an automatic. Close to 20mpg by my reckoning?

No idea on your fuelling problem but pretty sure
your car doesn/t have/need a lambda sensor.
Not if its the original engine that is.

i brought this car last year, it was stored in a garage for 10 years with no one driving it ( every thing is original with the car even has a original bosch car telephone. i've spent about £1000 sorting her out)
the maximum i'm getting is 15 mpg.
its like 50p a mile
im sure i should be getting better mpg
ive also had a new fuel tank installed because the old one had lots of rust in it
For the first 6 months i did have a lot of black soot coming out of the exhaust
should i get the injectors cleaned?
what about a fuel pressure regulator ?
thanks for any help on this topic

You should always get the injectors cleaned - send them to injectortune.
As for your mpg issues, first thing is to TEST (NOT REPLACE!!!) the blue temp sensor:

And did you test the wiring before you fitted the replacement blue temp sensor? This is why you TEST stuff, not just replace things.
