Getting a clio servo of a car with the engine still in!

All was going well, removed the inspection panel in the wing and got it all undone easily. Trying to get the bastid out of the car was another story!!
I even cut some of the shell to give more room with no joy, spent 2 hours and walked away with nothing :x
Is it actually possible to get one out of one with the engine still in?

I didnt get a clio servo for mine, but I'm certain I remember someone mentioning that going from inside the car is the way to do it.

Fairly certain you can undo the engine mount and squeeze them out.
Anything French is not nice to work on :(

i cut removed the brake lines the first time and pulled it out, i removed the master cylinder the second time i think and it was easier to get out. it was 2 years ago so i cant really remember but it is doable without cutting anything

As soon as i got the master undone i pulled it downwards and out the way, when i say downwards i mean i popped the reservoir off and yanked the master right down till it was under the rack.
Dont know if it made a difference being as the engine was the 1.4 16v type but either way throughout the job i kept thinking
"why the fook would Renault put an inspection cover there when all you can really do is look!"
