Soooooo had my center box cut out and well I don't like it.

What's the best rout of getting a new exhaust. Need to chec what piece mine is before I order one.

Scorpion is a common choice I guess but at £450 - £570 is abit strong in my opinion.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 1989 prefacelift 325i cabby

Thanks

You can't beat the standard BMW one. Great sound and will last 15+ years.

Do you think the back pressure would be affected by having just a backbox. No cats no resonaters.

Should I introduce an xpipe. To say a nice backbox or just stump up the cash and get a new system.

There is nothing wrong with the standard systems, the Scorpions are actually cheap as far as exhausts go!

I bet it sounds like a mcdonalds drive thru cruiser with no centre box

Only got one box on my system, I replaced the (shagged out) centre box with an X-pipe & it sounds so much better, & I'm running a m20b27.

True it is a bit loud at times but you get used to it ;)
if it's got t*ts or wheels it's bound to be trouble...............prove me wrong.
getting oral sex off an ugly person is like rock climbing.....don't look down ;)

Dear oh dear, car manufacturers put centre boxes on cars not to be all boring and sensible to take the sporty sound away from your car... It's there for a valid reason, to eliminate noise, vibration and certain frequencies to reduce drone from the system. BMW know more about exhausts than you, even in the 80's, so replace it and leave it alone.!

Haha I agree.

It was only taken out as mine decided to get a rattle that I couldn't bare. Will no doubt buy a system.

Any recommendations

If you x pipe then the correct place for the x is where the centre box is currently.
It is no coincidence the box is placed there, cut one open and you will see why.
