Hi, I have posted a WTD in the parts section but I was wondering where to procure a drivers side front wing for my 1990 face lift cab?

Brand new will only be available from the dealer,be seated when asking;

'HOW much?'

Why do you need a wing?

If it's just the area below the cill trim strip that is tatty,a decent body man will be able to make a repair section up for you.

Surely you can buy pattern parts somewhere? I'm currently looking for rear arch repair panels for a convertible

Cabbie's have deeper cills than the rest of the range,so pattern wings are not a direct fit.
If you examine your cabbie's lower rear front wing's corner(the bit next to the cill)you will note that the lower bit is spot-welded to the main part of the wing,it is this area that is unique to the cabbie.This part can be re-made as I mentioned above.

Rear arches.
A pattern arch section is available for saloons,but once again,it is not a direct fit to a cabbie for the same reason that front wings for saloons do not fit.
However,it is possible to adapt these sections to fit,if you are a decent metal worker.

Remember,far more saloons/tourings were built compared to cabbies,so pattern parts have just not been made due to the relatively small numbers of cars built.

I did realise the sills were deeper, I first found this out the day I picked it up, I stopped at the petrol station and fell face first out the car tripping myself on the inner sill as I was so used to the depth of normal E30 sills lol

The guy whos doing work did say he could make non cabby arches fit but i wanted to buy the right part in the first place if possible, if your saying they just cant be found then i may as well revert to plan B and let the guy work his magic with a normal arch repair panel. He sounds quite legit and even said he would be using the nice old skool method of leading which was nice to hear :D

That's a saloon wing!

Will need the cill part adapting to fit a cabbie.

They're not cheap but remember it's for a car that's been out of production for 20 years. Most other car manufacturers would be nla for similar aged vehicles.
